By making one of our existing itineraries Private, you keep everything that makes the trip work while choosing your dates and who comes along.
Here you’ll find Active England’s Private Walking and Cycling Tours. They mirror our regular small group and self-guided departures, but going private means you’re in control of the dates you travel and who comes along. Each and every one of our scheduled trips can be made private.

Choose the Active England itinerary you’d like to make private, then tell us your preferred dates and who you’ll be travelling with. We’ll check availability and take care of the arrangements from there.
Yes. Going Private gives you much more flexibility over when you travel. Tell us the dates that work for your group and we’ll check availability across the itinerary.
Taking a private tour is a an excellent alternative to a fully customised trip. Utilising one of our excellent value scheduled departures allows you access to our tried-and-testing walking and cycling routes as well as our handpicked accommodation options.
Meanwhile our custom holiday service offers you the complete freedom to tailor your tour. As well as our scheduled departures, we delight in curating bespoke trips that meet travellers every need.
Private Trips are based on our existing itineraries, so the overall shape of the trip stays the same. We may be able to make smaller adjustments depending on availability and your group.
